Cambodia to reopen TVET institutions

Article
TVET institutions are allowed to re-open fully from the 21st of September 2020, whilst COVID-19 remains under control.
Following the appeal from TVET institutes to open, the government has approved their request to allow teachers and students to go back and attend classes.
However, they have to ensure that they adhere to the official guidelines set out by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
TVET institutes need to ensure that they strictly follow the health and safety guidelines set out to curb the spread. Premises and facilities need to cleaned and tables should be set up with 1.5 metre distancing. They also need to consider limiting the number of students per class.
It is also recommended that students and teachers bring hand sanitisers and to ensure that they wear face masks.
Further, TVET institutes need to report on their progress to the Ministry of Labour every month.
