Fenix Jr, signed a memorandum of agreement that established the commitment to build on the countrys’ TVET system under the “TESDA-PCCI Partnership on Strengthened Enterprise-Based TVET System in the Philippines,”.
The plan is to set up a Nationwide Pre-employment Dual Education and Training System (NPDETS), which aims to improve the enterprise-based Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system in the country. This will also help to increase chances of employment in developed countries amongst students in the nation.
The NPDETS will see students in a dual education and training system that trains students both in schools and in companies. These students will benefit from the combination of practical, on-the-job, enterprise-based training and theoretical education.
This partnership also highlights the priority areas that the NPDETS will be implemented, which include agriculture, hotel and restaurant/tourism, construction, and information and communications technology.
