7 Memorandum of Understandings (MoU's) have been signed between Singapore and Germany, in areas of vocational training and education during President Halimah Yacob's state visit to Germany.

One of the MoU's signed between the two countries is the agreement between the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and german electronics company, Rohde and Schwarz. It is a 5-year agreement to provide 10 students who are enrolled at ITE, the opportunity to engage in industrial exchanges annual in one of their facilities; they have production facilities in Singapore and its Memmingen or Teisnach facilities in Germany.

ITE will also provide these 10 students with the opportunity to engage in educational exchanges.

The first batch of ITE students were hosted in June of this year at the Rohde and Schwarz's Memmingen facility. A second batch spent a week at the Teisnech, another facility of the company situated in Germany.
