An agreement on enhancing cooperation in vocational education and training, and skills development has been acknowledged between Vietnam and New Zealand.

On the 20th of July 2020, Truong Ang Dung, Director General of the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) signed an agreement with Wendy Matthews, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam.

The agreement focuses on a framework that will contribute to improving Vietnam’s workforce. It is used to share best practices in vocational training policy, qualification frameworks and industry engagement.

It will facilitate partnerships between New Zealand government agencies, vocational institutions and research institutes with DVET and relevant agencies in Vietnam.
