Workshop Management Handbook
Description
The need for quality and practice-oriented training in TVET institutions have been increasing in Viet Nam during the recent years. However, the current situation shows that many teachers/instructors at TVET institutions do not have adequate knowledge and skills to organise effective training. Devices and equipment are not classified appropriately and effectively and not used appropriately to develop the practical skills of the trainees. In addition, workshops are not organised properly and the renovation, maintenance and reparation of equipment needs to be improved.
To develop market demand oriented training, the GIZ’s “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” has provided training courses on appropriate layout of teaching and learning facilities for effective organisation, management and usage of training workshop as well as better maintenance of devices and equipment to its partner TVET institutions. All the workshop management knowledge was documented and compiled in this handbook “Guidelines for Workshop Management”. The document is being used as a daily handbook to help teachers/instructors understand the process and steps needed to be performed as well as their commitment to fulfil the requirements of suitable workshop management.
